This self-awareness increases our ability to work even better with other people. This insight is valuable in all situations, but not least in our daily work.
Human insight is often mentioned as a factor that separates good leaders from the rest. The capable builder from the less able and overall, the “good guy” from the people whose company we would prefer to avoid.
Like all self-estimated and or self-assessed tests, they require that the person wants and can report truthfully about oneself. Not so many tests that are based on or partly based on self-estimates or sometimes called self-assessed – measure congruence.
This is the match between your answers among themselves. Other words that can describe congruence is, conformity, uniformity, concord, See more examples in the dictionary. Different self-estimated tests measure this in different ways, and some (do not even measure it). Quite a few previous tests refer this to Cronbach’s alpha or Tau-equivalent reliability. This Cronbachsalfa coefficient measures whether questions belonging to the same scale give similar points and so does the EPT’s response congruence. Also if the same questions over several different contexts still from the respondent are given the same answer as previous measurements (inputs) and therefore the same accuracy, but the respondents’ answers. Not only the question itself.
And in the EPT´s test case with response congruence, the answers give a probability – a likelihood of one’s personal response in a percentage. ( % )
However, due to the EPT´s accuracy and often experienced high so-called face validity, more on face validity in validation and reliability) Also – few tests that are based on or partly based on self-estimates or sometimes called self-assessed – measures response congruence. But EPT measures response congruence, and in %, which is rounded off in the nearest five or ten numbers. i.e., 60%, 70%, 85%, etc.
HR people, as well as managers, have since 2017 when intrapreneurs profiles were added – started to use it for other purposes, such as recruitment and HR such as personnel development, team development, as well as one can become an accredited user of EPT. It is this research – the 6th archetype that he had the privilege to launch at The International Conference on Thinking in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia in 2009. And that led to the world’s first Entrepreneur Profile Test that he developed together with licensed psychologist Hans-Olle Frummerin and that was launched in late 2010.
